* Since mingyu and wonwoo confirmed its up for own interpretation here’s mine So the song starts with the line “how did love become love” we see mingyu enter the scene and meet the girl who is sitting outside, the girl indicates mingyu something with her head and then we see wonwoo inside the bar and the girl working as bartender so as per me the girl was telling mingyu that wonwoo is inside and to go for it. In the scene where the girl and mingyu are in the cafe we see them both using the same earphones, which in the next scene we see mingyu wearing the same so i think the earphone belongs to mingyu and wonwoo and they share it before the girl came along. (Also wonwoo said that there was a scene where mingyu takes his earphones off which might indicate him giving up on wonwoo). Wonwoo thinks mingyu likes the girl as well so he never really smiles when he’s alone with the girl unless there’s mingyu with them. He gives the girls hat to mingyu as if he’s giving up on the girl for him because he values their relationship more. In the scene where they are running its clear Who’s chasing who, wonwoo chasing the girl, and mingyu chasing wonwoo. In there’s this line in mingyu’s “I’m hiding in the rain always smiling.” Which is him looking at wonwoo get taken away from him. Also another line “woo i want an answer” which I don’t know why but it just clearly feels like he’s asking wonwoo for an answer. In the last scene we can see that wonwoo has finally realised he can’t part from mingyu and hence joins him in the rain . So back to the start “how did love become love” i’d say its pretty much asking how did the love of friendship grew to become a romantic one. Also the outfit mingyu and wonwoo wore at the start is the one at the end in the rain so the middle part of the mv must be the story of how they came to realise and accept their feelings for each other. So yeah it was bittersweet Ps: also i saw some comments about how wonwoo is the rich ceo and mingyu some carefree student teaching wonwoo to enjoy his life and now I can’t stop my mind from imagining things(The bts for this mv has the scenes where its so clear what this mv was about)
